(AsiaGameHub) – LCKY Group has declared a deal to purchase RoyalCasino, an online casino firm that operates solely in Denmark’s regulated sector.
Unveiled on Thursday, this acquisition is projected to substantially boost LCKY’s size and profitability. It is anticipated to contribute an estimated 18–20% to group revenue and 29–31% to EBITDA on a pro-forma basis immediately.
“This represents a highly strategic and financially attractive purchase for LCKY Group. RoyalCasino delivers a robust market presence and high-quality earnings in Denmark, a market that closely matches our focus on regulated, sustainable growth,” stated Richard Brown, CEO of LCKY Group.
In August, gambling revenue in Denmark hit DKK714 million, marking a 25.1% rise compared to the previous year.
“This deal improves our scale, fortifies our competitive standing, and offers clear chances to generate synergies and create long-term value. We are eager to collaborate closely with the RoyalCasino team to bring these opportunities to fruition.”
RoyalCasino becomes part of the LCKY Group portfolio alongside LuckyCasino, HappyCasino, FlaxCasino, Vera&John, and OneCasino.
‘RoyalCasino’s local know-how and LCKY’s global reach’
This move bolsters LCKY’s standing in Denmark, a region defined by a mature market, strict regulatory supervision, and a consolidated base of operators.
For LCKY, this deal raises the percentage of its income coming from regulated markets.
Per Petersen, CEO of RoyalCasino, remarked: “Our sector is marked by intense innovation and competition. We view the blend of RoyalCasino’s local expertise with LCKY’s international scale and iGaming heritage as a perfect formula for mutual success.
“We anticipate introducing LCKY to our Danish clientele with great enthusiasm.”
The deal is still pending standard regulatory clearances, with completion anticipated in the latter half of 2026. Partis provided financial advisory services for RoyalCasino during this transaction. The specific purchase price and financing details were not revealed at the time of the announcement.
Denmark has recently implemented new regulations known as Spilpakken 1. These measures feature a ban on betting ads during live sports events from whistle to whistle, stricter rules on outdoor marketing, and limits on FTP (free-to-play) bonuses.
